The Holidays Are Here at Piper Louie

Piper Louie is ready for "The Holidays"  Our front windows are done and we have many new items.

Pagoda style lanterns adorn our front windows.

Jake the turkey, is one of the many handmade items we have - by my very talented aunt....in the "Primitive" style.  He is 17.75" tall with wire legs and feet. VERY CUTE!!, easy to ship and only $38.00
Another one of the handmade items in "the primitive style" Pine Cone 2.75" long 2.5" ACROSS TOP. Grungy bow, cone painted and grunged with a spice and coffee antiquing mix, then rubbed with cinnamon. She finished the cones by spraying them with a clear finish and then sprinkled them with German glitter glass. Smells like cinnamon - totally adorable and only $12/each.

"Primitive style" little birds, several colors to choose from.  All ornaments have beautiful handmade tags.  Something very special and can only be found at Piper Louie Boutique Shop.  Also, ship very easy.

We just received two large Moroccan style iron bowls.  Gorgeous and would be a beautiful Christmas present.
Candlestick lamps with burlap shades, and many other pretty lamps to light up the dark winter months

Linen slipcover sofa with flange stitched cushions.  Down wrapped seat cushions
Our Paddy Wax candles continue to sell quickly.  Perfect scents for everyone

Dash and Albert throws and bags
We have many unique finds, new, old, vintage and antique.  Like this darling French basket and picture.  Napa Home wreaths, too.

We have several Dash and Albert rugs in our shop, however can place orders for others that are available, too.

Antique French hotel laundry cart.  I think this would be fantastic in a play room for kids toys.

"Piper Louie Boutique Shop"

As many of you already know, Nordby Design Studio has finally named our boutique shop "Piper Louie."  We are still working a bit on the logo...however, we are just about there.  Along with our new shop name we have some wonderful new items.  BTW...we can ship.  The is an antique "French" basket.

We just unpacked these darling candle stick lamps with burlap shades.
My fondness for birds continues.  This antique "Chinese" bird cage is so sweet.  It will fit almost anywhere.
We also have vintage/antique Japanese floats.  Many shapes and sizes, and some with special markings.
Large metal containers, great for umbrellas, twigs, or anything else you would like to display in them
 Letter holder.
Breadboards from Blue Ocean Traders and wreaths from Napa Home

Our Fall Window Display. Along with Dash and Albert indoor/outdoor rugs, we have cotton rugs, bags and throws.

Back by popular demand...the recycled  cotton/canvas pouf.  Stitched into a globe.  Very comfy seating for any room.
Just in...Two's Company Pagoda lanterns in three sizes
Sweet little hand carved birds - in two sizes
Glass lanterns great for indoors or out.

Dipping!

Dipping!  And... I don't mean in the traditional since of what you might be thinking of. What I mean is "Paint- Dipping".  I am not actually sure if that is it's technical term, but that is what I will call it. I think I would dip everything I own in paint if I did not have some since of self control.  I really love how galvanized items look with a clean line of paint.  Super easy to do, you just dip your item in a container full of paint to the desired line you want and pull it out.  The trick is making sure you shake off all the excess paint and let it dry completely.  The paint should level itself out.

I thought I would take a couple of vintage shoe forms and play with this technique on them.

Why not.  Like I said...it would be easy to get carried away with Paint-Dipping...I say..."GO For it!"  Have fun.

The color of these peonies knock me out.  Had to share their beauty.
New Dash  & Albert rugs, both indoor/outdoor and cotton
We just got this bench and table in.  Totally perfect for a small kitchen nook or breakfast room, or perhaps an entryway.
 Table has a carved base
A little red, white and blue for 4th of July or any other day of the year.
New Totes from Dash & Albert, too - with leather handles
We have two of these super cool pendants.  A simple change out of old, outdated pendants to these could really "spruce" up a kitchen island, or hallway, or bath, etc.

We have these wonderful bulb covers...that also will take a bulb from drab to really hip.
The bulb covers adjust to more of a "petal" form.
